Charlotte Female Institute, c. 1872

The photograph came from a booklet entitled Charlotte, published by Wade Harris in 1899. The booklet was found in the cornerstone of the 1900-1901 Presbyterian College for Women building. The little boys seen on the left side of the picture were probably enrolled in the primary department.
