QMail - Student Email Accounts

All current Queens students will receive a student email account (known as QMail) in the form of Firstname.Lastname@Qmail.queens.edu.

To get your QMail account information, you can:

1. Visit:
   1. Your Dean's office
   2. IT Services in the Walker Science basement
2. Call Dean's office to have it mailed to your address on file through US Postal.

You will need your student ID to pick-up your account so be sure to bring it.

We cannot email your QMail account information to another email address.

Your new QMail address will be your official Queens student email account.  Qmail accounts are web-based and provide a full feature set. With QMail you can access your campus email from any supported web browser (listed below).  It's easy to use and very convenient since you can use QMail from any Internet connected PC.  Functionality includes:

• Personal Address Book
• Personalized Signature
• Autoforwarding
• Autoresponse and Vacation Message
• Antivirus Protection
• Tasklisting

Browsers supported by QMail are:

• Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher
• Mozilla Firefox 1.7 and higher
• Safari on the Apple Mac

Student E-mail is web based only. Currently, there is no support for mobile devices. A feature enhancement for mobile device support may be available in the future.

All official electronic communication from the University will go to your new QMail address - so it is critical that you regularly monitor the account. For instance,

• Your professors will send email to this account
• you may sign up for QAlert
• Registrars Office will send important information
• Center for Academic Excellance will contact you

Changing Your Password

If you would like the ability to change your password or  to be able to reset it if you forget your password or are locked out for any reason, then visit https://pwdhelp.queens.edu  now and enroll for this service.

Once enrolled, you have access to manage your account password at anytime.
