Great Ideas That Have Changed the World

An examination of the significant ideas that have shaped the modern world.  Focus on capitalism, liberalism, socialism, and post-modernism.  Students will

be introduced to each idea by reading from primary sources. 

They will discuss the impact the ideas have had on the modern world (the

US and beyond).  They will critically analyze each idea through examinations and papers. 

Credit: 3 hours
Prerequisite: Completion of HONR 110 (or substitute approved by Honors Director) and 3.25 grade point average
