- World War II is such an enormous event that it’s impossible to comprehend it all at once. Instead, try to understand the war bit by bit. Which part of the war do you find most interesting, compelling, intriguing – the battles? Leadership? Home Front? Collaboration? Resistance? The Holocaust? Once you’ve identified what you find most interesting, DESCRIBE it carefully – what is crucial to know about it? Then, ANALYZE it a bit – if you think it’s important, why? Because of its scale? Its consequences?
