QUESTIONS:
The Civil War is often described as “the” crucial event in American history, certainly as important as the Revolution itself. Not only did the Civil War preserve the Union, but it transformed American society even more dramatically than the Revolution had done. But – what’s religion got to do with it? Based on the evidence above, explain just HOW religion affected and was affected by the Civil War.
