Virginia L. Martin, Ph.D. is the chairman of the Biology
Department. She joined the Faculty at Queens in 1966 with
a degree in parasitology from Emory University. She is the Faculty
Marshal and also the District Director for Beta Beta Beta, the
honorary society for biology students. Dr. Martin teaches Genetics, Invertebrate Zoology, Histology
and Microbiology
in the College of Arts and Sciences and Anatomy and Medical
Microbiology in the Vail Nursing Program.

Kent Rhodes, Ph.D. came to Queens in the Fall of 1992. He is
currently Director of the CORE Program in Liberal Arts.
Dr. Rhodes' graduate work was at Emory University in Developmental
Biology. He teaches Principles of Biology, Vertebrate Zoology, Cell Biology, Developmental
Biology, Comparative Physiology, and in the Core Program.

Rebecca Jann, Ph.D. has taught at Queens since 1978. She received her Ph.D.
from Wake Forest University in Ecological Physiology. Courses taught by Dr. Jann include Principles of Biology, Botany,
Ecology, and in the Core
Program.

Jack Fehon, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus of Biology. Dr. Fehon’s
doctoral work was done at Florida State University.
